Kip Reiss became a financial planner because he enjoyed the investment process and building investment portfolios. Since starting in the industry in 1996, however, he’s found that the most rewarding part of his work is the relationships he develops with clients as he helps them identify and work toward their financial goals.
As a wealth advisor, Kip works with individuals and families to develop a plan to help them find confidence in their financial future. Whether their goal is to retire comfortably, send a child or grandchild to college, or leave a legacy to future generations, Kip helps clients plot a course to pursue those important ambitions, so they feel confident they’re on the right path.
That’s why he developed the Financial Report Card, a process that uses goals-based planning and a customized LifeMap to chart the course toward your goals. The process helps you understand the steps you’ve already taken and what still needs to be completed in order to be financially fit. With the Financial Report Card process, you can visualize your progress toward each short- and long-term goal.
As a Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM, Kip has received specialized training to help clients define a roadmap to retirement, focusing on their pre-and post-retirement needs, as well as issues related to asset management and estate planning. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in finance with a minor in economics from Eastern Illinois University.
Kip lives in Rochester, Illinois, with his wife, Kristen, and their three sons. He is involved with his boys' sports activities, coaching their basketball and baseball teams, and cheering them on in other sports. Kip also enjoys golf, traveling, fitness, hunting and fishing. Giving back to the community where he lives and works is important to Kip, and over the years he has served as a member of several boards for local organizations.
